Jon Budzik, an undergraduate in the lab, just returned from the Beckman Scholars meeting in California where he presented his research on the characterization of a transducing phage from P. aeruginosa. The Beckman Scholars program supported Jon's research over the past year (including this summer) and allowed him the unique opportunity to meet & interact with students from all over the country who are also going onto careers in research and/or medicine.

Mary Ellen Davey has just taken a job as a Senior Scientist at Genome Therapeutics Corporation in Waltham, MA outside of Boston. She will be starting in mid-Sept. Congrats Mary Ellen!
