Daniel Khadouri has joined the lab as a post-doc. He did his graduate work at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel studying the role of poly-beta-hydroxyalkanoate (PHA) on the survival and proliferation of Azospirillum spp. Welcome!

Nel Venzon has just finished up his summer research project with us and is now back in Hawaii. It was great to have him around and we'll miss him here. The picture below is from the end of the summer "Science Fair" where our summer undergraduate researchers could present their work. Nel is on the left and I am on the right.

Shannon Hinsa spent a couple of weeks in Holland at Leiden University participating in a course on plant-microbe interactions. She garnered awards for both "Best Poster" and "Best Group Proposal". Here are some pictures from here trip.
