January 19, 2006

We have had some excellent recent news on the job front!

Rob Shanks, a post-doc in the lab, has just accepted a position as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the Department of Ophthalmology. He will be continuing his studies of biofilm formation using two bacterial pathogens of the eye as his model systems.

Shannnon Hinsa, a former Ph.D. student in the lab and a current post-doc at the Center for Microbial Ecology at Michigan State University, has just accepted a faculty position at Grinnell. She'll be starting in the Fall of 2007.

Congrats to Rob & Shannon on their outstanding accomplishments!
