Some good news from several former lab members.  Within the past couple of weeks, three former post-docs in the group, Thienny Mah at the University of Ottawa, Rob Shanks at the University of Pittsburgh, and Daniel Kadouri at UMDNJ, were promoted from Assistant to Associate Professors!

Yun Luo, a post-doc in the lab, recently attended the Quantitative Microscopy Course at the Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory.  While at the course, she performed a project to analyze c-di-GMP levels in Pseudomonas fluorescens using FRET microscopy. She received the award for "Best Individual Presentation" based on her 5-min talk at the end of the course.  Congratulations!

An update on Katie Price's post-doc fellowship award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  She has been named the Basbaum Fellow as the highest-scoring post-doctoral fellowship applicant.  Congrats!

Alicia Ballok, a PhD student in the lab, successfully defended her thesis on April 29.  Her outside examiner was Meta Kuehn from Duke University.  Alicia did a fantastic job!  Congratulations!
