Molecular Microbiology is celebrating its 30 years of publishing by highlighting a paper from every year over that time frame.  A paper on the genetics of biofilms Roberto Kolter and I published when I was a postdoc made the list for the year 1998.

Well, I guess we have hit the big time!  Not one, but two mentions of our work in the 15th edition of Brock.  Figure 11.32 (on the left) shows a 96 well biofilm assay of one of our mutants in a section on genetics.  The text on the right describes our work on the c-di-GMP-regulated adhesion LapA and its role in biofilm formation.  Very fun!

Three recent papers in the lab by Laura Filkins (a former PhD student), Giulia Orazi (a current PhD student) and Nicki Limoli (a current posdoc) were highlighted in a recent article on the Infectious Disease Hub website describing the polymicrobial nature of infections in Cystic Fibrosis.
